Chapter 01

The Story

Michael didn't grow up with his nose in a book. He picked up his first thriller at 45 — and it ruined him in the best possible way.

One twisty read became two, two became a habit, and the habit became I Heart A Good Thriller: a community built on honest reviews, five-star obsessions, and the occasional 'I did NOT see that coming' posted at 2 a.m.

These days the shelf runs deep — domestic suspense, courtroom drama, psychological slow burns, and the kind of European crime fiction that makes your passport jealous. If it has a body, a secret, or a narrator you can't trust, it's getting read.

Proof it's never too late to become a reader. You just need the right book — and the right book is usually a thriller.

Chapter 02

The Shelf

A few five-star favorites from the shelf — the ones Michael hands people when they say they 'don't really read.' Every book here (and plenty more) is stocked in his Bookshop storefront, where each order supports independent bookstores.

Bookshop.org orders support independent bookstores — and the shop.
